Welcome to Christmas in the O. C.

What is the SPCA of Texas and what does it do?

The SPCA of Texas is the leading animal welfare agency in North Texas with two shelters and two spay/neuter clinics located in Dallas and McKinney, and serves as an active resource center providing an array of programs and services that bring people and animals together to enrich each others' lives.

A comprehensive animal welfare agency, the SPCA of Texas is not affiliated with any other entity and does not receive general operating funds from the City of Dallas, State of Texas, federal government, or any other humane organization

Christmas in the O.C. will accept donations and supplies in 2009 with the hope of fulfilling at least a small portion of the SPCA’s wish list.  While the needs do not end after the holiday season, at least we can think about those that are not able to support themselves.  We chose the SPCA as a gesture of giving back.  A little over 5 years ago, we rescued our Labradoodle, McKinney, from the McKinney SPCA (guess where we got his name??).  You are in no way obligated to donate and please do not feel as if you need to donate to enjoy the lights.

SPCA’s 2009 Wish List

During display hours, we will have video monitored collection drop boxes for wish list donations.  For monetary donations, we plan to have a lockbox for secure, monitored donations.  There might even be times where we will even be out there to greet you, so don’t be frightened!  We just want to make sure traffic is moving smoothly - we would also like to thank you for visiting.  These bins are to collect  wish list items that the SPCA is in dire need of - and I think you will be surprised at some of the things that are on the list.

Dear Occhristmas,

What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season together with the whole family! The SPCA of Texas is grateful to Christmas in the OC for the generous support of the animals in our care.

We're a local group that responds to animals in our community, and we're here because of the support of the community and wonderful folks like Christmas in the OC.

Thank you again,
